The Duggar Family – Ranked Oldest to Youngest

The Duggar is one of the most famous families in the world! They became extremely popular in 2008 when the first episode of 17 Kids and Counting On first came out. The show was broadcasted till 2015 and followed the life of this devout Baptist family.

At the beginning of the series, the Duggar family was composed of dad Jim Bob, mom Michelle Duggar, and their 17 children. But two extra kids were born throughout the show, and the series had to be renamed 19 Kids and Counting On.

Throughout the years, the Duggar family kept expanding, and between 2008 and 2015, four grandchildren also came into the world. The family is against contraceptives and believes that only God should decide how many children each family should have. For this reason, they tend to give birth frequently.

But what is the youngest Duggar child at the moment? Here is a list of the nine youngest members of this extended family!

Ivy Jane was born on the 26th of May 2019, and she’s currently two years old. She was born at home with the assistance of two midwives and Ivy’s aunt, Jill. At birth, the baby weighed 7 lbs and 14 oz. Despite the birth being smooth, her mom, Jessa, had some complications. She, unfortunately, experienced postpartum hemorrhaging and had to be rushed to the hospital. Luckily, there were no serious complications, and Jessa could quickly return home to take care of her newborn.

Ivy currently has three siblings, two older brothers, and a younger sister. Her parents chose this unusual name inspired by an important historical figure, Lady Jane Grey. Ms. Grey served as the Queen of England for nine days and died a protestant martyr.

Did You Know?

Ivy’s older brothers, Spurgeon and Henry, are also named after important religious figures. The former was inspired by a 19th-century British preacher, Charles Spurgeon, while the latter was named after a 17th-century preacher known as Matthew Henry.

Addison Renee is the 14th Duggar grandchild and the first daughter of Joseph Duggar and Kendra Renée Caldwell. She was born on the 11th of April, 2019, and is currently only two years old. At birth, she weighed 7 lbs and 12.5 oz and measured 12 ½ inches in length. Addison has a younger sister and an older brother, Garrett, born in 2018.

Her parents decided to share the sex of their second baby with the world on the 25th of June, 2019. To do so, they bought a cake with a pink filling for their son’s birthday. When the child cut the first slice, he saw the pink interior and realized that a little girl was going to join the family soon.

But Joseph and Kendra wanted the news to remain within the family for a while. For this reason, when they posted pictures of the cake on their social media, they opted for a black and white filter.

Did You Know?

Young Addison Renee was featured in the TLC show Counting On. Her birth was also broadcasted on the episode ‘A Baby Girl for Joe & Kendra’.

Bella Milagro is the only child of Josiah Matthew Daggar and Lauren Milagro Swanson. She was born in November 2019 and is currently two years old. She is a rainbow baby, meaning that before her birth, her mother got pregnant but unfortunately had a miscarriage. At birth, little Bella weighed 6 pounds and 5 oz and measured 18.5 inches.

Bella’s father, Josiah, is the eighth child of the Duggar family, while her mom, Lauren, is the first child of the Swanson family. Josiah asked Lauren to enter an official courtship during a girl’s night out. The couple announced their courtship on the Duggar family website on the 23rd of January, 2018. They got married just a few months after, in June 2018.

Did You Know?

After the birth of Bella, Josiah and Lauren stopped posting pictures on their social media. Fans soon worried and started to think that something may have happened to the couple. Recently, Josiah and Lauren were seen together in a family picture, proving that they are just doing fine.

Maryella is the sixth child of Joshua and Anna Duggar. She was born on the morning of the 27th of November 2019, weighing 8 lbs and 2 oz. Her parents revealed the sex of the baby in June with an original idea. They got a golden hive containing a colored liquid inside, pink for a girl and blue for a boy. To reveal the sex of the upcoming baby, they asked one of the sons to pour some water inside the hive to activate a chemical reaction that made the liquid overflow.

The couple has now been married for more than ten years, even though they had their ups and downs. In 2015, Joshua confessed he cheated on his wife as he developed a pornography addiction. He entered a faith rehabilitation center and, together with his wife, started to attend marriage counseling. Luckily, the couples resolved their issues and even managed to have three kids afterward.

Did You Know?

Maryella was named after Mary Duggar, her father’s great-grandmother, who passed away a few months before her birth.

Evelyn Mar Forsyth was born on the 21st of August and is currently one year old. She is the second child and first daughter of Joy-Anna Forsyth and Austin Martyn Forsyth. At birth, she weighed 8 lbs and 5 oz and measured 19.5 inches. Evelyn is a rainbow child, as she was born a year after a stillborn daughter.

Throughout her pregnancy, her mom, Joy-Anna, kept updating the fans on her social media pages. Evelyn was named after her mother’s maternal aunt, Evelyn Ruark, even though Joy-Anna doesn’t seem to have a close relationship with her.

After birth, Evelyn had to spend a few extra days at the hospital because of high jaundice levels. Luckily, she was sent home a few days afterward. At her first-month check, other issues came to light. She appeared to have a bump on the back of her head. According to the doctor, this may have caused brain damage to the baby. Luckily, x-rays showed that there was nothing to worry.

Did You Know?

Evelyn’s brother Gideon seemed to have a few issues in school. According to his Joy-Anna, he was falling a bit behind in some areas of communication and comprehension. Thankfully, an evaluation test revealed that everything was within the norm.

Evangeline Jo is the second daughter of Jinger Vuolo and Jeremy Joseph Vuolo. She was born on the 22nd of November and is currently one year old. Just like many Duggar babies, she’s a rainbow child as she was born after a miscarriage. At birth, she weighed 7 pounds and was 20 inches long.

To speed up the pregnancy, the couple went all the way to Caioti Pizza Cafe in California to try the famous maternity salad. This dish is believed to induce labor in pregnant women and consists of gorgonzola, romaine lettuce, watercress, walnuts, and a secret herb-balsamic dressing. 

Did You Know?

Despite being born more than a year ago, many people still pronounce Evangeline’s name in the wrong way. According to her parents, it should be pronounced Evenge-LINE and not Evange-LEEN.

Brooklyn Praise is the third child and second daughter of Joseph Duggar and Kendra Renée Caldwell. Her parents announced the pregnancy via People on the 19th of August, 2020. Brooklyn’s due date was initially set on the 27th of February, but the baby arrived a week earlier. At birth, Brooklyn measured 20.25 inches in length and weighed 7 lbs and 3 oz. Brooklyn often appears on the TLC show Counting On, and the episode A New Life features her birth.

Did You Know?

With the birth of their third child, Joe and Kendra are maintaining an incredibly fast pace typical of the Duggar family. The couple went from courtship to having three kids in less than four years.

At the age of 28, Jessa Seewald gave birth to her fourth child, Fern Elliana. This was her first hospital birth, in which she also got her first epidural. The baby girl weighed 8 lbs and 5.9 oz and measured 21 inches. All Jessa’s previous births took place at her own home. But this time, the couple decided to opt for the hospital. This was done as, after the birth of Ivy and Spurgeon, Jessa had to be rushed to the hospital due to hemorrhaging.

Jessa decided to share the birth of Fern on her Youtube challenge following the cancellation of Counting On.

1. Madyson Lily (October 23, 2021 – present)

Madyson Lily is the youngest Duggar as she was born in October 2021 and is currently six months old. Madyson is the seventh child of Joshua and Anna Duggar and has three brothers and three sisters. At birth, little Madyson weighed 7 lbs and 9 oz.

Madyson’s mom announced her pregnancy as well as the sex of the baby in April 2021. Unfortunately, a few days after, Joshua was arrested. For this reason, Anna decided to stop posting on social media. Susana Keller, one of Anna’s sisters, shared a few pictures of the baby online. These are some of the very few images that can currently be found of Madyson.

Did You Know?

Madyson will be the youngest Duggar only for a few more days or weeks. In fact, Jedidiah Duggar and Katelyn Koryn Nakatsu are expecting a baby this April.
