Edward Murray III was Bill’s oldest sibling. He was born in 1944 and died in 2020 at 76 years old due to pulmonary fibrosis.

Edward inspired the main character in the movie Caddyshack, published in 1980. He began caddying at 10, and by the age of 16, he was playing golf. He graduated from Northwestern after studying broadcast journalism. After graduation, Edward worked at Katz Radio in Chicago and KGB Radio in San Diego.

In 1980, he decided to give a kick to his career and move to Santa Maria, where he became the co-owner of Sunny Country/KSMA Radio. Edward was extremely well integrated into the Santa Maria Valley community.

He regularly organized events, such as charity drives to support local organizations, including the Santa Maria YMCA, Marian Regional Medical Center, Allan Hancock College Foundation, the Boys & Girls Club, First Tee, Evans Scholar, Chamber of Commerce, CASA of Santa Barbara County, COLAB, Western Growers Association, Rape Crisis Center, and St. Joseph’s High School.

Edward was famously known to live by the motto, ‘The more you give, the more you get.’

In 1987, he became a stockbroker at Dean Witter Reynolds, where he had a long and successful career. Edward retired in 2009 and fully enjoyed the last years of his life playing on the most famous golf courses in the world and even skydiving on his 65th birthday.

Brian is incredibly talented and appeared in several movies, including Ghostbusters II, The Razor’s Edge, and Caddyshack. Bill started his career on The National Lampoon Radio Hour to join the Saturday Night Live team from 1977 to 1989.

Joel Murray is Bill,’, Murray’s youngest sibling, as he was born in 1963.

He attended Loyola Academy, where he played the lead actor role in the school’s musical. During these years, he also served as the school’s football team captain. Joel’s career in the entertainment industry began only once he moved to Chicago.

He started performing in several improvisational theaters, such as the Improv Institute, the Improv Olympic, and The Second City.

After this experience, Joel started to get more significant roles in tv commercials. He was, in fact, chosen to give the voice to Cheetos’ mascot, Chester Cheetah, from 1986 to 1997. In the 90s, he also starred in several tv series such as Grand, Pacific Station, and Love & War.
