Melissa Joan Hart is what we like to call a jack of all trades in showbiz. For the outdoorsman among us, she’d be a Swiss Army Knife. She is best known for her portrayal as the lovable, wickedly sweet Sabrina Spellman from Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996 – 2003).
Her endearing portrayal as the main character turned the American sitcom into one of the most beloved shows on television in the 90s.
In the entertainment industry, a career as a director and producer tends to follow suit. Melissa is no exception to the rule. As a producer and director, she was the brains behind films such as The Watcher in the Woods, The Santa Con, and Mute.
Melissa hasn’t hogged all the talent for herself, thankfully. Her brothers and sisters have carved their careers in the business as well. Melissa Joan Hart is the 46-year-old acting extraordinaire who we familiarized ourselves with thanks to her unforgettable portrayal as Sabrina Spellman in Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Hart got her big break at four when she appeared in a television commercial for a bathtub doll called Splashy.
She impressed enough people and hit the ground running as a gun-for-hire on several commercials before she hung her hat up and left the commercial actor circuit. When it was all said and done, she had made 25 of them before even turning five!
Melissa appeared in a few small productions in her early days as a young child actor, slowly honing her talents, and ultimately became an understudy in a Broadway production of The Crucible, which starred Martin Sheen.
Hart would continue to take small-time gigs in productions scattered here and there, but it was nothing she could sustain herself on. With education being important for a respectable backup plan, she enrolled at New York University.
Her academic career was short-lived. That’s because she won the role of a lifetime in the 1996 TV film Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which we know was later made into a series thanks to its rapid rise in popularity. The show ended in 2003 after seven seasons, and so Hart’s next project was to make her directorial debut for the 15-minute short film – Mute (2005), starring her sister Emily Hart.
In 2003, Melissa married musician, Mark Wilkerson. They have been happily married and share three children.

Trisha Hart is a 44-year-old producer and actress best known for Silencing Mary, Celebrity Family Feud, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Trisha is credited as the creator of Silencing Mary, which is a film starring Melissa, about a college newspaper reporter out for justice after her best friend is raped.
She graduated from Ohio State University and worked as a math teacher in Manhattan in 2013.

Emily Hart is the 36-year-old baby sister of Melissa’s. She is the daughter of television producer Paula Hart and businessman William Hart. She’s best known for portraying her sister’s character, Sabrina Spellman, in Sabrina: The Animated Series Emily also had a role on the live action Sabrina the Teenage Witch show as Amanda Wiccan.
Like Melissa, Emily started her acting career at 4-years-old in the Broadway production of The Who’s Tommy. She also appeared in The Right Connections, which won her a Young Artist Award. She won again for playing a teenage Shirley Temple in the 2001 film Child Star: The Shirley Temple Story.

She attended Wagner College and Hunter College for two years, studying theater, before leaving school to pursue acting full-time. She is represented by Gilbertson Entertainment.
