Tia Mowry is a famous actress, singer, author, and producer. She came into the world in July 1978 in West Germany but grew up in the USA.

Tia was born into a deeply religious family. Her parents met in high school and decided to join the army together. They ended up working as sergeants but changed jobs after moving to California.

In particular, Tia’s mother, Darlene Renee Mowry, worked as a manager for her children. At the same time, Tia’s father, Timothy John Mowry, became a custody officer with the city of Glendale Police Department. While Timothy has English and Irish ancestry, Tia’s mother is of Afro-Bahamian descent.

Tia has a twin sister called Tamera, who has acted together in several movies and TV series. Apart from her, she also has two younger brothers, Tahj and Tavior.

While Tahj decided to pursue a similar career and is now a famous actor, Tavior preferred to dedicate his life to music after a bad injury that prevented him from following his first true love, football.

4. Tamera Mowry (July 6, 1978 – present)

Tamera Mowry is Tia’s twin sister. She was born in July 1978 and is now 44 years old. Tamera was born in West Germany a few minutes before her twin sister and is therefore the oldest member of her family.

Tamera is mainly known for her career as an actress, television personality, and singer. Her first main role was in the ABC/WB sitcom Sister, Sister, in which she played the character of Tamera Campbell.

Following this role, Tamera also took part in the Disney Channel Movie Twitches and its sequel Twitches Too. She also starred in many television series, such as Tia & Tamera, a program following her and her twin sister’s lives. The series first aired in 2011 and ended with its third season. Tamera also worked as a co-host for the show The Real from 2013 to 2020.

Throughout her career, Tamera has won several accolades, such as the Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host for her co-host job and three Favorite TV Actress Awards for her role in Sister, Sister.

Tamera is married to Adam Housley, a Fox news correspondent. The two dated for more than six years before getting married in May 2011. Together they have a son, Aden John Tanner, and a daughter, Ariah Talea.

The family lives in Napa Valley, close to Adam’s vineyard.

3. Tia Mowry (July 6, 1978 – present)

Together with her twin sister Tamera, Tia Mowry is probably the most famous member of her family. She was born at 4.32 pm and is only two minutes younger than her sister.

Tia started participating in talent shows soon after her family moved to Fort Hood, Texas. However, at the age of 12, she convinced her parents to move to California to boost her acting career.

In 1990, the whole family permanently moved to Los Angeles, and Tia started to get hired for several commercials and small acting roles. She was later chosen for the show Sister, Sister, a series telling the story of a teenager reuniting with her twin after being separated at birth.

The show was first aired on ABC but was canceled after two years. But this was not its end, as Sister, Sister was soon picked up by The WB, where it ran for an extra four years.

Following the show’s end, Tia decided to study psychology at Pepperdine University. During this period, she also traveled to Europe and stayed in Italy for some time, where she studied the humanities. Following her studies, Tia went back to her acting career.

She appeared in the comedy movie The Hot Chick, playing the role of a cheerleader. She also starred in Twitches and its sequel, Twitches Too, together with her twin.

Apart from her acting career, Tia is also a talented singer. She produced several covers of famous songs such as ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’, ‘I’m Going Down’, and ‘Amazing Grace’.

Tia is also an accomplished author. In 2012 she published her first book, Oh Baby: Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to Another. The book is about her experience as a pregnant woman and working mother.

But Tia is not only a talented writer, singer, and actress. She is also great at cooking! In fact, from 2015 to 2017, she starred in her Cooking Channel series Tia Mowry at Home, in which she cooked all sorts of delicious meals.

In 2016, she started a podcast called Mostly Mom with Tia Mowry. 

Tia is married to Cory Hardrict, an American actor. The two met on the set of the movie Hollywood Horror. They dated for six months before announcing their engagement on Christmas Day 2006. Tia and Cory have a son born in 2011 and a daughter born in 2018. Unfortunately, the couple ended up divorcing in 2022 due to irreconcilable differences.

Tahj Mowry was born in May 1986 and is now 36 years old. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but grew up in California. Here, he attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, also attended by both his older sisters.

Tahj’s first main role was as T.J. Henderson, a child prodigy on the sitcom Smart Guy. He also played the role of Teddy in the sitcom Full House and took part in many Disney Movies. Some of these include Hounded, The Poof Point, as well as a few series including The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and StarTrek: Voyager.

Apart from his many roles on Disney Channel, Tahj also acted in the movie Are We Done Yet?, portraying the character of Danny Pulu, and in the film Seventeen Again, in which he interpreted the character of Willie Donovan.

Tahj also starred in famous tv shows and series such as Desperate Housewives and Friends! If you’re curious, you can see him in the episode in which Phoebe sings to kindergarten kids.

Apart from his acting career, Tahj is also a talented singer. He sang ‘Shine Your Light On Me’ for the Disney Channel Circle of Stars. Throughout his career, Tahj also released a single called ‘Flirt’ produced by Excel Beats.

This was Tahj’s debut and came out in April 2015. Following his first single, he published a six-song EP called Future Funk. The EP came out in August of the same year and included songs such as ‘Bossy’, ‘Dancing Alone’, and ‘End of the Road’.

Talking about his love life, Tahj dated Naya Rivera, a famous American singer, actress, and model from 2000 to 2004. The two met while working on Smart Guy in the 1990s.

Tavior is the youngest of Tia Mowry’s siblings, born in 1993.

Unlike his older sisters, Tavior was born in California. He attended Westlake High School, where he developed an interest in sports and soon distinguished himself on his high school football squad. In fact, during this period, he was named twice to the All-Marmonte League team.

Thanks to his talent, Tavior was awarded a spot at the University of California. Unfortunately, he got badly injured while in college and was forced to end his football career.

Following his injury, Tavior decided to work as a wine salesperson for a while but soon realized this was not his dream. He, therefore, tried to pursue a career in the music field. His first band was called We Own The Light. With them, he released songs such as ‘What Do You Hold On To?’ and ‘Diddy Bop’.

Concerning his love life, in July 2020, Tavior got engaged to his girlfriend Zandy Fitzgerald, after dating for roughly two and a half years.
