Stephen Curry’s Siblings Ranked Oldest to Youngest

Stephen Curry’s 2 Siblings Ranked Oldest to Youngest

Steph Curry, also known as the “Baby Faced Assassin,” is responsible for changing the game. His electric three-point shooting barrages, as if the basket were as wide as an ocean, have turned the game on its head and have kids everywhere taking half-court shots before even attempting a layup.

Curry is joined by two siblings, both of which are exceptional athletes. That shouldn’t come as a surprise considering their father, Dell, was an NBA player, and Sonya, a star collegiate volleyball player.

So join us as we learn more about the transcendent sports family while we rank Steph and his siblings from oldest to youngest!

Wardell Stephen Curry II is the current point guard for the 7x champion Golden State Warriors. To emphasize just how generational a talent Steph is, four of those championships have come during his tenure in Golden State, which began in 2009.

As a child, Steph had access to resources not typical of most NBA hopefuls and not typical of those born in Akron during the 80s and 90s.

His father, Dell Curry, took him and his brother Seth to his games, where they could see firsthand how a professional athlete trains.  It was common for Steph to take part in warmups with his father.

Steph’s early exposure to the game paid off tenfold in his development, making up for the slender 160-pound frame of his high school and college days at Davidson – the only school that had shown interest in him since 10th grade.

Before his first game for the Davidson Wildcats, head coach Bob McKillop said of Curry, “Wait ‘til you see Steph Curry. He is something special.” By the end of his Freshman season, Steph was leading the Southern Conference in scoring and was second in the nation for scoring, only beaten by none other than Kevin Durant.

By his final season at Davidson, he was the NCAA scoring leader.

In 2009, after being selected seventh overall, he adjusted well to the NBA grind, playing 80 games and starting in 77 of them. He averaged 17.5 points and 5.9 assists in 36.2 minutes of playtime. All signs pointed towards a continuation of his success at Davidson after he finished runner-up in Rookie of the Year voting until chronic ankle injuries started to sideline the future MVP.

When we fast forward to 2022, Steph Curry is the NBA’s all-time leader in three-point field goals, surpassing other greats like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller.

To drive home even further how prolific a scorer Curry is, he surpassed Ray Allen as the NBA 3-point leader with 2,974 shots made in 789 games, while Ray accomplished it in 1,300. That is 511 fewer games.

Among his many talents, Steph Curry is known for his shooting prowess, which has earned him the nickname Splash Brothers along with teammate Klay Thompson. In 2013–14, they set the record for combined three-pointers made in an NBA season with 484, a record they broke the following season (525), and again in the 2015–16 season (678).

Seth Curry has done an incredible job finding his lane in the NBA and escaping his brother’s shadow to become a reliable rotation player and contributor.

It should go without saying he’s also quite adept at shooting from a distance. As of the 2022 season, he ranks third in NBA history in three-point field goal percentage!

Seth found success with the Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers, recording career highs in scoring and enjoying deep playoff runs.

As of February 2022, Curry was part of a blockbuster trade that involved Ben Simmons and Andre Drummond to the Brooklyn Nets.
