4 Eminem’s Siblings Ranked Oldest to Youngest

Marshall Mathers III, better known as Eminem, is considered by many in the rap community as one of the greatest to put pen to paper.

As one of the few Caucasian rappers in the 90s to be taken seriously in the hip-hop community, he’s credited with building a bridge for fans who felt like outsiders to enjoy a genre notorious for its unforgiving exclusivity.

As you’d expect of a new fresh-faced rapper entering an arena as cutthroat as the hip-hop game, Eminem turned the community on its head with his controversial, raunchy, shocking lyrics and image, which had artists and fans split into two camps of thought.

He’s considered one of the most gifted lyricists of all time and praised for blazing a path that deviated from what we knew as “rap” in the 90s and early 2000s.

Join us while we learn more about one of our most decorated rappers and his three siblings that live away from the media microscope as we rank Marshall and his siblings from oldest to youngest!

Marshall Mathers is the globally recognized and acclaimed rapper, songwriter, and record producer best known for hit singles like “Cleanin’ Out My Closet,” “Lose Yourself,” and “Rap God.”

Marshall comes from a musical background. His parents played in a band, Daddy Warbucks, but their musical tastes didn’t leave much of an impression on the soon-to-be rap icon.

Dr. Dre, who Eminem drew considerable inspiration, helped launch Eminem’s career. After his debut album, Infinite, was released in 1996 and his Slim Shady EP a year later, he signed with Dr. Dre’s label Aftermath Entertainment.

The most notable of these are his distinctions as one of the best-selling music artists of all time, 15 Grammy Awards, 17 Billboard Music Awards, and included in Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Artists/Songwriters of All-Time list.

He followed his early success as a musician with a cult-classic musical drama film called 8 Mile. Its title track, “Lose Yourself,” won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, making him the first hip-hop artist to win the prestigious honor.

In 2022, Eminem was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Did You Know?

Eminem has a heart underneath the hard exterior he created for himself through a life of struggle, addiction, and abandonment. His charity, the Marshall Mathers Foundation, is dedicated to helping disadvantaged youth in impoverished communities.

3. Michael Mathers

Personal and professional information on the life of Michael Mathers is mostly a mystery as he has lived away from the prying eyes that his older brother has been accustomed to his entire life.

He is the son of Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr.

Did You Know?

If you weren’t aware of Michael’s existence, or any of his three siblings for that matter, it’s because there’s hardly a relationship between the rapper and his distant family.

According to sources online, Michael and their sister Sarah had tried to spark up a relationship with their eldest brother after attending one of his concerts. They weren’t successful in reaching him even after reportedly running into each other backstage.

2. Nathan Samara-Mathers (February 3, 1986 – Present)

Age (as of August 2, 2022): 36
Born: St. Joseph, Missouri
Occupation: DJ, Producer, Actor
Known For: Brother of Eminem

Nathan Kane Samara-Mathers is the 36-year-old younger brother of Eminem. Compared to the relationship Marshall has with his other two siblings, Nate and Marshall were like two peas in a pod. Much of that is thanks to their shared upbringing in a dysfunctional household with their mom, Debbie Mathers.

With Debbie, who had been struggling with mental health and substance issues after the father left the picture, Eminem assumed the lone parental role for his younger brother. During the time Nate lived under the same roof as his brother, his musical influence rubbed off on the impressionable young Nathan, leading him to pursue his career in the industry.

Though his career hasn’t matched the level of success of Eminem’s, he found his niche in the industry as an actor, DJ, and producer, according to his Instagram bio.

Did You Know?

Nathan is married to Ashley Mae. They have two sons.

1. Sarah Mathers (1998 – Present)

Age (as of August 2, 2022): Approx. 24
Born: San Diego, California
Occupation: Waitress
Known For: Half-sister of Eminem

Sarah Mathers is the youngest of Eminem’s siblings at approximately 24-years-old!

Personal and professional information on Sarah’s life is mostly unknown, but according to various sources online, she is currently a waitress somewhere in California.

Like her brother Michael, her relationship with Eminem is non-existent, not for lack of trying to connect with the elusive superstar. According to various sources online, she only discovered her relation to Eminem at 23-years-old during a family BBQ.
