Blue Ivy Carter is Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s first child and was born in 2012. She was introduced to the media from the very first days of her life. In fact, only two days after her birth, her parents decided to record her vocals and feature them in the song Glory.
This earned her a Guinness World Record as she became the youngest person to have a charted song on any Billboard chart.
But this is not the only Guinness World Record young Ivy has received in her life. In 2020, she was featured on Brown Skin Girl, a song produced by her mother in collaboration with Wizkid and Saint John. The song won several awards, among which a Grammy for best music video. This resulted in an additional Guinness World Record for the youngest individually credited Grammy Award winner.
Ivy was also dubbed the ‘New Princess of Pop’ by the famous music magazine Rolling Stone and sang in the choir of Coldplay’s song Up&Up.
But Ivy is not only a successful singer. In November 2020, she also narrated Matthew Cherry’s book Hair Love. The novel is about an African American father trying to style her daughter’s hair for the first time.
Blue Ivy also went on stage next to her parents on several occasions. For instance, in 2014, she joined her dad on the MTV Video Music Awards stage. She also took part in the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, where she made headlines for wearing an expensive gown by Mischka Aoki and high-top sneakers by Giuseppe Zanotti.
