Baba Sehgal is known for being one of India’s first and most well-known rappers. He is often credited with bringing rap to India, and establishing it as a genre in the country. Although he graduated with a degree in Agriculture and Technology, Sehgal was interested in the performing arts, and started his career in the early 90s with a self-released album.
Although he had already released two albums, his biggest and most successful album was Thanda Thanda Pani, released in 1992. Over the next decade, Sehgal released several more albums and worked on the soundtracks for smaller Bollywood movies. At the end of the 90s, he debuted as an actor in the film Miss 420.

Manj Musik’s interest in music began at a young age. He began performing at his local gurudwara with the group RDB, which stands for Rhythm Doll Bass. This band consisted of Musik and his two brothers. Unfortunately, his older brother passed away, and Musik decided to leave the group shortly after.
In the years that followed, Musik began a solo career and started to release music as a solo artist. He began producing music in Bollywood and releasing rap singles of his own, and in 2014, he won the award for “Best Urban Single” at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards.

Much like Baba Sehgal and Manj Musik, he is considered to be a pioneer in the industry, and is known for his significant contributions to the genre of desi hiphop. He was born in Karachi, but later moved to the United States with his family.
His interest in music began as a child but blossomed after moving to the US. When Bohemia was 21, he moved to Oakland and began working at a recording studio with his cousin. His cousin introduced him to a producer, and his love for hip-hop and rapping grew from there. In the years that followed, Bohemia released original music and recorded various tracks for Bollywood movies like Chandni Chowk To China and 8 x 10 Tasveer.
